What's in a name?
How did you come to pick the name of this forum?

Seems like there must be a story there...

When I first started building this site, it was http://sharpeNiron.org - as I got closer to opening it up, I thought that name might cause confusion, and maybe hard feelings, over at http://shapreRiron.org, so I started working an a different name. I've always thought the phrase "superfluity of naughtiness" sounds funny, though I'm sure it didn't in 1611. Add to the mix that there are few things at SI that are considered as naughty as anonymity, and it seemed like a good fit.

By some miracle, the domain name was available.
